About Me
I have taught English for more than 17 years in secondary schools, including GCSE and A Level classes across a wide range of abilities.
I am also an experienced AQA examiner and currently provide specialist home tuition for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
My approach combines high academic expectations with patience, encouragement and clear, structured teaching.
A Calm and Supportive Approach
Every student learns differently. My aim is to create a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their confidence. Alongside my teaching experience, I have extensive experience supporting young people emotionally, enabling me to build positive relationships with students who may feel anxious, lack confidence or have found English challenging. Lessons are adapted to suit each student's pace, strengths and goals, helping them make steady, sustainable progress.
