A grounded, collaborative space where adults, children and young people can be heard, valued and supported.
I'm an integrative counsellor working with adults, children and young people from my therapy room in Newark‑on‑Trent. After 20 years teaching in secondary schools — and my own journey through therapy and an ADHD diagnosis in adulthood — I retrained to do this work.
My approach is grounded, collaborative and humanistic. I keep you at the centre of the work and we move at your pace, towards a clearer sense of who you are and what you need.

With adults, the work moves between conversation, reflection and noticing what shows up in the body. I draw on Gestalt, parts work, psycho‑education and somatic awareness as the work calls for them — including Somatic Experiencing training with Babette Rothschild for trauma held in the nervous system.
With younger children, we work through play, sensory activities, roleplay and drawing — letting them take the lead and make choices. My aim is to offer something clear, direct and supportive — not clinical, patronising or fluffy.
I work with adults and with children and young people from age 4 upwards — including teenagers navigating school, identity and the realities of growing up today. The space, language and tools shift with who I'm meeting; the care stays the same.
Trauma often becomes trapped in the body's freeze or shutdown response. Together we widen your window of tolerance and find ways to feel safe and grounded — so deeper processing happens at a pace that's secure, held, and yours.
Clients describe me as authentic, accepting and open‑minded. I'm committed to ongoing learning around neurodivergence, gender and sexual identities, so I can support people wherever they are — without judgement, and without the clinical distance.

Bereavement, loss and life transitions
Autistic burnout and masking
ADHD‑related overwhelm and PDA stress

School avoidance and exam stress
Family conflict and friendship difficulties
Pre‑trial therapy and abuse recovery
I work from Ravenscliffe — a Victorian semi-detached house at 28 Winchilsea Avenue, Newark‑on‑Trent, NG24 4AD. Look for the pale blue door with the carved "RAVENSCLIFFE" name plate above it — you're in the right place.
The therapy room is on the first floor with comfortable seating, books and natural light. It's set up to feel welcoming for adults, children and young people alike.
It is not wheelchair-accessible but for a client with accessibility needs I could work from an accessible room.
I also offer online sessions via WhatsApp video or Microsoft Teams for clients who can't attend in person — at the same fee. Get in touch to find out more about how online therapy works in practice.

Sessions last 1 hour and usually take place weekly. I work flexibly around current capacity, including some evening availability. For children, I also offer a shorter 45‑minute session at a reduced rate.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how therapy works, or to arrange an initial conversation. This is a chance for us to discuss what's bringing you (or your child) to therapy, whether it could be helpful, and whether I'm the right therapist to help.
You can also call me on +44 7792 208630 if you'd prefer to leave a message or speak first. I'm happy to discuss any questions before arranging an initial appointment.
All enquiries are usually answered within 24 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential.
